A Gym Built for Getting Stronger
If you have ever waited for a squat rack at a crowded gym, you know how quickly a good training plan can fall apart. That is exactly the problem our Powerlifting Gym was built to solve. Inside our 58,000 square foot club in Vero Beach, you will find a brand new space dedicated entirely to the barbell: eight squat racks, seven deadlifting platforms, and four benches, including a competition rated combo rack. Whether your focus is raw strength, explosive power, or building muscle, this room gives you the equipment and the environment to chase it, and in the middle of a Florida August, it is all indoors and air conditioned.

You Do Not Have to Be a Powerlifter to Train Here
The name might sound intimidating, but the Powerlifting Gym is for every member who wants to get stronger. The squat, the bench press, and the deadlift are simply the most effective strength movements there are, and they work whether you are a competitive lifter, a weekend pickleball player, or someone who just wants to carry groceries and grandkids with ease. Strength training builds muscle, protects your joints, supports your bones, and makes everything else you do at the club easier. If you have been curious about barbell training but never had a place to learn, this is your invitation.
Start With Power GRIT
Not sure where to begin? We built a class for that. Power GRIT is Vero GRIT with a powerlifting twist, a coached workout designed to prepare you for all the lifts you can try in the new Powerlifting Gym. Classes run Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:15 am with Don and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:15 am with Amy, so you can get your training in before the workday starts and walk out feeling accomplished before most of Vero Beach has had its coffee. It is one of the simplest ways to learn the movements with guidance instead of guesswork, and you can find it alongside everything else on our live class schedule.
Train Hard, Then Warm Up and Cool Down Right
Serious strength work deserves a serious warm up and cool down, and the Powerlifting Gym has that covered too. Venture upstairs to the cardio and stretching area to get your blood flowing before you load the bar, or to wind down after your last set. And because the room lives inside a full-service club, your training day does not have to end at the platform. Members can follow a heavy session with laps in the pool or a low-impact class, the kind of smart recovery that keeps you progressing week after week.
Pair the Barbell With a Plan
The fastest way to get stronger is to follow a plan built for you. Our certified personal trainers can teach you safe technique on the squat, bench, and deadlift, program your sessions around your goals, and track your progress along the way. If you are new to lifting, even a few sessions with a trainer can save you months of trial and error and give you the confidence to train on your own.
Come Test Your Strength in Vero Beach
The barbell does not care how old you are, how experienced you are, or how hot it is outside. It just rewards showing up. Visit the Powerlifting Gym page to learn more, check the class schedule for Power GRIT, and if you are not a member yet, come see the room for yourself and try us free. Your strongest season starts inside.
